Monel K500 is a kind of alloy that is age-hardenable. It comprises of two elements that are copper and nickel. It consists of some properties similar to that of grade 400 but contains some additional as well. Corrosion resistance property is the same as that of grade 400 but the resistance to erosion and high strength corrosion fatigue is different in its comparison. It is precipitation hardened by adding some other elements. Additional elements include titanium and aluminum. It has increased hardness and strength in comparison to the 400 grade and also has almost three times tensile strength and yield strength.

Alloy K500 Tubes and Monel K500 Tubing has several benefits of using it because of the alloy it posses. It is a type of nickel-copper alloy that can be hardened by precipitation. This alloy is an advanced version of Monel 400 as it has similar property of corrosion resistance and also has additional properties of more hardness and strength in the comparison of Monel 400. These increased properties are obtained by the addition of other elements like titanium and aluminum. These are non-magnetic, even at very low temperature; has an excellent dimensional stability, and can also resist a sour-gas atmosphere. The strength and hardness of Monel K500 Tubing is further increased by the process of age hardening.
